Swami Bon's meeting with
Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany,
in Doorn (Netherlands)
"The Harmonist"
September 4th, 1934, page 21:
"On his way to Germany Swami B.H. Bon will interview the ex-Kaiser at Doorn (Holland) on October 23 next when the ex-Kaiser will hold some intimate discussions with the Swamiji on Indian religion."
"Second Year of the Gaudiya Mission in Europe" (published 1935), page 39 and 41:
"It was indeed very kind of His Majesty the Ex-kaiser of Germany to have written a ver sympathetic letter to the Swamiji and to have honoured him with the presentation of His Majesty's photo with his signature thanking him heartily for sending him the publications of the Gaudiya Mission.
Swami Bon had also opportunities to talk with Herrn Baron von Selb, the Kaiser's Berlin-representative, who conveyed the Kaiser's best wishes for the Swamiji's effort to bring home to the people of the West the spiritual ideas of Hinduism. The Kaiser is deeply interested in the Comparative History of Religion and Culture."
