"The Swami took four vows, viz. observance of silence, i.e. not to talk to any human being, sleeping on dust or bare-floor, living on milk, and constantly to chant the Name of Lord Krishna, and started on his earnest pilgrimage in quest of Lord Krishna in Yamunotri, Gangotri, Triyogi Narayan, Kedarnath and Badrinath.
It took him two months and five days to walk on bare feet 650 miles on the Himalayas, and had the highest experiences of his spiritual life during this pilgrimage."
